Rainbowland GoFundMe Fundraiser to Keep It Free of Charge to All

Help keep Rainbowland free to all! Here’s our GoFundMe link:

If you could give $5, 10, even $20, that would go a long way to keep Rainbowland free to all. All funds would be used for paint, supplies, repairs and maintenance.

HELP KEEP RAINBOWLAND FREE!!

I’m Patrick Hasson, an independent artist in Joshua Tree, California. One year ago, I opened the doors of Rainbowland—my 2.5-acre property which I transformed into a giant art park / roadside attraction that anyone can explore completely free.

I built it myself, with no outside funding. It features the Largest Rainbow in the Mojave (9ft tall x 1100lbs), a rainbow-colored house; an art studio featuring original artwork by me and my semi-famous cat, Big Whitey the Artiste; the Love Bus, a psychedelic VW Bus and retro photo booth; Super Painting, a 24-foot-long collaborative painting that anyone can paint on; two rainbow pianos, a rainbow car, and lots of wonderfully weird surprises.

But the most important part of Rainbowland isn't the art.

It's the people.

Thousands of people have visited over the past year—families, kids, artists, travelers and curious strangers. I've watched children discover the joy of making art. I've watched families laugh and take pictures together. I've watched complete strangers slow down, put their phones away and have a real, old-fashioned analog adventure.

And that's why I want to keep Rainbowland free.

I have a dream of eventually turning Rainbowland into a nonprofit and offering free art classes for kids, paint nights, workshops and community events. But for now, I'm just one artist trying to keep this crazy, colorful place alive.

I don't really like celebrating my birthday (which is October 25th), and I REALLY don't like asking people for money. But this year, I'm asking for a birthday gift that would mean more to me than anything you could buy me:

Would you give $5, $10, $15—or whatever you can—to help keep Rainbowland open and free?

Your donation helps pay for paint, repairs, supplies, maintenance and the endless work it takes to keep this place alive.

Five dollars might not seem like much. But five dollars from a lot of people can keep the rainbow shining.

If Rainbowland has ever made you smile, made your kids laugh, given you a great photo, inspired you, or simply made your day a little more colorful, I'd be incredibly grateful if you'd help me keep it going.

This birthday, I don't want a present for me.

I want to give Rainbowland another year, alive and free.

❤️ Thank you for helping me keep the doors open. ❤️
